You invest in a market stall on a regular basis.

I love markets. When we originally moved to the Sunshine Coast – I was told by a friend to look at Eumundi.
My friend had been dragged along on many early mornings trips when we lived in the southern states, so she knew how much I love markets, it was perfect for our family.
Great people, great school. Then Saturday arrived. I was in heaven.

I’ll always head to a market before I head for a shopping mall.
I love discovering new things, meeting the people who created what I’m buying and hearing the stories about how they arrived there.

Over the years I’ve had my own market stalls to sell products either I or a friend have made (usually clothing). I have learnt so much from interacting with the market community, from both sides of the table.

It makes me sad though when great fledgling businesses stumble or crumble. It’s usually something to do with marketing and connecting with customers.

If you have a market stall, don’t rely on the market organisers to promote you – have your customers come to the market just to SEE YOU!!!
